Durante los últimos años, la Dra. Luna Morcillo, ha centrado parte de su investigación dentro del Centro de Estudios Ambientales del Mediterráneo (CEAM) en las siguientes líneas de investigación:
– El efecto de eventos extremos como sequías, incendios e incidencia de plagas, y la interacción entre dichos factores, en los procesos de decaimiento de ecosistemas Mediterráneos, en un contexto de cambio climático.
– Investigación aplicada en obtener soluciones en el ámbito de la gestión y restauración ecológica de ecosistemas Mediterráneos degradados.
